PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk apparatus for suppressing displacement of a traverse mechanism caused by cushioning members when an external shock acts. SOLUTION: The optical disk apparatus 1 is provided with: a traverse mechanism 3 which includes a rotation mechanism 39 for rotating an optical disk, an optical pickup 33 which irradiates the optical disk with laser light and receives reflected light of the laser light, and a guide mechanism 31 guiding the optical pickup in the radial direction of the optical disk; a casing 2 having the traverse mechanism mounted on the bottom surface thereof; cushioning members 6 which are disposed between the traverse mechanism and the bottom surface to reduce vibration generated at the traverse mechanism; and spacers 7a and 7b which are arranged between the bottom surface and the cushioning members, include projection pieces regulating the displacement of the traverse mechanism when the vibration is transmitted to the cushioning members, and hold the traverse mechanism so that a distance between the bottom surface and the traverse mechanism are constant.
