The spectrometer has a polychromatic source (2) for providing x-rays on a sample (1). An individual slot device (9) is movable transverse to direction of rays that leave the source. A mono-chromator of a diffractometry channel (6) is arranged in a fixed manner regarding the source and the sample. The mono-chromator has an individual entry slot (10), which together with the individual slot device and a sample position defines a characteristic diffraction angle of a pre-determined crystal structure of the sample at a wave-length of the source selected by the mono-chromator. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an x-ray-multi channel-spectrometer. |
