PURPOSE: A backlight assembly and a display device including the same for increasing an effective screen are provided to offer a structure in which an optical sheet does not separated in impact. CONSTITUTION: An optical sheet(40) is arranged in the top of an optical plate. A frame(30) includes a side wall part(31), a mount part(32) and a first slope part(35). At least a part of settling portion is overlapped with the optical sheet. It is formed in the edge of the settling portion in which the first slope is close with the optical sheet. A carrying box unites with frame and the optical sheet and optical plate are purchased.
