PURPOSE: A primer composition is provided to improve the adhesion of a substrate in which an optical semiconductor device is mounted and hardening materials of a silicone composition sealing the optical semiconductor device and to prevent the corrosion of a metal electrode which is formed on the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A primer composition(2) is used for combining a substrate(4) in which an optical semiconductor device(3) is mounted and hardening materials(5) of a silicone composition sealing the optical semiconductor device. The primer composition comprises: a (meth)acrylic acid ester homopolymer containing one or more hydrogen atoms which are combined with a silicon atom; a copolymer which is selected from the (meth)acrylic acid ester, acrylic acid ester, or methacrylic acid ester; and a solvent. |
