PURPOSE: A vermin exterminating device for street lights and a street light adopting the same are provided to enable a user to perform outdoor activities under the street light and to reduce harm from vermin during outdoor activity. CONSTITUTION: A vermin exterminating device for street lights includes: a main body(110) in which a lamp storage portion covered with a transparent window is formed; a plurality of elastic wings which are winded around a pillar fixed to a floor surface; a joint(120) which has a magnet which is used to attach the main body to the pillar; an attracting lamp(130) which radiates ultraviolet rays to attract vermin; a collector(140) which is equipped inside the main body; a flash lamp(150) which radiates a flash that damages the eye or the nerve of the vermin; a thread net which faces the collector; a cover(160) which has a penetration hole connected to the outside; and a suction fan(170) which is equipped to inhale the vermin collected by the attracting lamp via first and second entrances.
