<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a fuel injection valve having a control chamber 9 required to maintain liquid tightness in an inside thereof for a long time without damaging injection characteristics even when poor-quality fuel including a large amount of foreign matter is used. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A magnet 34 is arranged in the control chamber 9. The ferrous foreign matters included in the fuel of the control chamber 9 are attracted by the magnet 34 to be captured, and therefore, the fuel from the control chamber 9 to a sliding gap 24 is in the state where at least the ferrous foreign matters are removed. Accordingly, the fuel injection valve having the control chamber 9 required to maintain the liquid tightness in the inside thereof can be used for a long time without damaging the injection characteristics even when the poor-quality fuel including a large amount of the foreign matter is used.
