The method involves executing a connection and position with or in a housing (2) by an electromagnetic pulse welding technology. The connection and positioning is executed radially or axially relative to the electric machine or the housing. The connection is a radial or axial fixing of the electrical machine, particularly a stator (14) of the electric motor (1), which is executed relative to a catch of the housing or bore diameter of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a device for connecting and positioning of an electric machine, particularly an electric motor.
