PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for detecting abnormality of a mobile body which can acquire the progression of the degree of abnormality with precision and accurately detect abnormality by removing external impact even though the progression of the degree of abnormality and a monitoring signal are changed by the external impact. SOLUTION: This invention includes: collecting data for mobile body 1 continuously; detecting an event of the mobile body 1; extracting the data as comparison target data, which is collected within a predetermined time period specified by the event; preparing the reference data for detecting abnormality; comparing the comparison target data with the reference data; and detecting the abnormality of the mobile body 1 on the basis of the result of the comparison.
