<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from being excessively charged by the friction between a sponge roller and a developing roller, resulting in soil on an image, when the image forming apparatus is not compatible with charging performance for toner. <P>SOLUTION: Using an LED head 19, an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum 16 whose surface has been charged by a charging roller 17. Toner 12 is frictionally charged and supplied from the sponge roller 13 to the developing roller 14. Further, the toner 12 is supplied onto the photosensitive drum 16 and the electrostatic latent image is developed into a visible image. The visible image on the photosensitive drum 16 is transferred to recording paper by a transfer roller, and fixed by a fixing device. In this case, if the absolute value of the amount of charged toner 12 is q[μC/g], the peripheral speed of the developing roller 14 is Vdv[mm/sec], and the peripheral speed of the sponge roller 13 is Vsp[mm/sec], they are set so as to satisfy 30≤q×(Vdv÷Vsp)≤120. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
