<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which generates a display voltage for gradation display using a digital/analog converter of which the power consumption is reduced, based on charge pump circuit operation. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 200 comprises a display panel section 220 including a plurality of pixel circuits 225 disposed in a matrix shape. Each of the pixel circuits 225 is configured to perform display corresponding to a voltage transmitted by a corresponding data line DL. A gradation voltage generation circuit 280 provided in accordance with each data line DL includes a pulse number control circuit 290 and a charge pump circuit 295. The pulse number control circuit 290 inputs pulses CP# of which the number corresponds to data bits D0-D3 of display data SIG, to the charge pump circuit 295.
