The device (11) has an operating element arranged in a control panel for operation by rotary actuation and mounted on a cup-like receptacle. A capacitive touch-sensitive switch (32) is arranged in a region of the control panel adjacent to or around the operating element. The touch-sensitive switch is provided with an electrically conductive capacitive sensor element that is electrically insulated on an outer side or on front of the control panel. The touch-sensitive switch or sensor element is arranged on a collar-like portion (24) of the receptacle around the operating element.
