Extraction system (1) for preparing a beverage from a cartridge using a fluid injected under pressure into the said cartridge and comprising a cartridge (3) and an extraction device (2) intended to accept the said cartridge; the device comprising an injection cage (4) and a cartridge support (5); the said injection cage (4) and the said cartridge support being arranged in such a way as to be moved relative to one another in the pre-injection mode of closure around the cartridge by a closure device. The injection cage (5, 48) comprises a base (19) and a closure piston unit (20) which is mounted such that it can be moved axially with respect to the said base. The closure piston unit (20) can be moved relative to the base (19) by the pressure exerted by the fluid upon injection.
