摘要 PURPOSE: A crank shaft phase alignment method and apparatus are provided to improve the machining efficiency of a crank shaft by accurately aligning the phase of a crank shaft and discriminating the type of the crank shaft. CONSTITUTION: A crank shaft phase alignment method is as follows. A crank shaft(50) of a pallet is grasped with a robot. Two rollers(13) are located on both upper sides of a phase alignment holder(10). A crank shaft is settled with the robot so that the central axis of the crank shaft is located between the two rollers. A pin(53) of the crank shaft settled on the phase alignment holder is rotated with a press bar so as to carry out phase alignment of the crank shaft. A sorting unit senses the contact position of the pin of the rotated crank shaft and the shape of a weight(54) and discriminates the type of the crank shaft. The crank shaft is moved to the pallet by the robot and stacked according to the type.
