<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood flour resin mixture molded article having sufficient water-absorbing property, moisture retaining property and moisture absorbing and desorbing property, while maintaining molding property and shape retaining property. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wood flour resin mixture molded article having moisture retaining property is a molded article obtained by molding a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin, wood flour and a polymeric absorbent and is characterized in that: the wood flour has such a particle diameter that passes through a 20-mesh screen but does not pass through a 50-mesh screen; the content of the wood flour ranges from 40% to less than 70%; the thermoplastic resin comprises a mixture resin of a low-density polyethylene resin and a linear low-density polyethylene resin, or a polypropylene resin having a flexural modulus of not less than 1,250 MPa; and the content of the polymeric absorbent ranges from 1.5% to less than 5%.
