The vehicle has a roof consisting of a curved roof outer skin and a roof transverse convertible top bow extending in a vehicle transverse direction between two roof side frames. The convertible bow is glued with a roof outer skin using supporting adhesive. The bow exhibits a constant curvature in the direction so that distance between the outer skin and the top bow is varied in the direction. The roof outer skin and the bow are glued with one another in sections using the supporting adhesive, which bridges the distance between the roof outer skin and the bow. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a roof of a motor vehicle.
