<p>The device has an irradiation source i.e. particle emitting source, aligned to a patient (P), and radar systems (E1, E2, S1, S2) i.e. ultra wideband (UWB) radar systems, provided for detecting a position of the patient or a part (T) of the patient during the irradiation. An evaluation unit (A) determinates the position of the patient or the part of the patient from the data detected by the radar systems. A control device (S) adjusts and/or interrupts rays emitted by the irradiation source due to a detected position of the patient or the part of the patient. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for irradiating a patient (2) a computer program having a set of instructions to execute a method for irradiating a patient.</p> |
