PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iterative decoder having a high error correction performance. SOLUTION: The iterative decoder 1 is provided with: an iteration count determination part 17 which determines the iteration count of decoding processing of data for decoding according to the size of the data for decoding; and an iteration control part 11 which iteratively executes the decoding processing to the data for decoding by considering the iteration count determined by the iteration count determination part 17 as the upper limit.
