PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly efficiency by simplifying a structure concerning the attachment of a crankshaft. SOLUTION: In an electric hammer 1 in which the crankshaft 6 is journaled by a ball bearing 14 positioned inside a fitting recessed part 13 of a crank housing 5, and a gear 11 is provided on the upper part from the ball bearing 14 in the crankshaft 6, the positioning of the ball bearing 14 in the crank housing 5 is performed by a plate-like bearing retainer 12 disposed between the ball bearing 14 and the gear 11, and fixed to the crank housing 5.
