<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both maintenance of system efficiency and restraint of degradation of a fuel cell, for a fuel cell system having an output limiting demand of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1, provided with the fuel cell 2 generating power with supply of reaction gas, and a flow control means 6 controlling a supply flow of the reaction gas to the fuel cell 2, carries out operation changeover between a first operation mode and a second operation mode with a lower efficiency than the first operation mode. The flow control means 6 controls a supply flow of the reaction gas so as to suppress an output voltage of the fuel cell 2 below a high-potential evasion voltage, on one hand, in the first operation mode in case there is no output limiting demand, and so as to carry out operation changeover from the first operation mode to the second, while maintaining an output voltage of the fuel cell 2 below the high-potential evasion voltage, only when there is an output limiting demand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
