PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for properly controlling an exposure amount with a simple configuration to suppress the sensitivity deterioration of a photoreceptor due to excessive exposure amount or image deterioration of image deletion or the like due to excessive discharge. SOLUTION: The image forming device 100 has: a current detector 202 detecting a current flowing when applying a predetermined voltage to a charger 12; an execution means 200 to enter a test mode to form a first area charged under a predetermined charging condition by the charger and exposed under a predetermined exposure condition by an image exposure device 13, and a second area charged under the predetermined charging condition by the charger and not exposed by the image exposure device, in the photoreceptor; and an adjustment means 200 adjusting a light irradiation amount by a light discharger 112 according to output of the current detector obtained when the first and second areas formed in the photoreceptor in the test mode pass a charging position.
