<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slow solubilizing agent without swelling by absorbing water, attaining sufficient duration, without impairing cleaning performance, when used as a slow solubilizing agent for a detergent for a flush toilet, and showing good production efficiency during molding. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A slow solubilizing agent (B) includes a compound (A) represented by formula (1) as an essential component, and has a number average molecular weight of 10,000-25,000, and oxyethylene chain content of 70-90 wt.%. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is 6-24C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon or alkoxypropyl of formula: R<SP>2</SP>OCH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>-, R<SP>2</SP>is 6-24C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon, a and b each represents an average added mole number of oxypropylene groups, which is a number of 15-40, c and d each represents an average added mole number of oxyethylene groups, which is a number of 100-250.
