<p>There is provided a hat for wearing on a user's head or other article, e.g. a lampshade bag or container, that is reversibly translatable from an in use 3- dimensional configuration (as shown) to a flat, compact storage configuration. The article comprises a semi-rigid sheet defining a periphery having a radial cut (230) extending from a point on said periphery towards a focal point on the semi-rigid sheet and a series of continuous or broken curving cuts (220) arranged in concentric fashion about said focal point; and securing means (240,250) for securing the sheet in the three-dimensional form in the in use configuration. In the storage configuration the semi-rigid sheet adopts a planar form and in the use configuration the semi-rigid sheet adopts a three-dimensional form with said radial and curving cuts opening out, thereby defining a cavity, which in the case of a hat is for receipt of the user's head or, in the case of a lampshade, is for partly or fully accommodating a lamp.</p> |
