PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the position of a displaced optical fiber which emits light in an optical scanning endoscope. SOLUTION: The optical scanning endoscope apparatus includes a light source unit, a light feeding fiber 53, a fiber driving part, a beam splitter 62, a position detecting filter 63, a position detecting fiber 56, and a position detecting light receiving unit. The fiber driving part displaces the optical feeding fiber 53 by bending the distal end of the optical feeding fiber. The light source unit feeds infrared light in first and second bands to the incident end of the optical feeding fiber 53. The beam splitter 62 is disposed on the light path of the light emitted from the distal end of the light feeding fiber 53. The beam splitter 62 reflects the infrared light, and transmits the light in the other bands. The position detecting filter 63 is disposed in the direction of reflection of infrared light to transmit the infrared light at a different transmittance according to the position of the incident infrared light. The position detecting fiber 56 transmits the infrared light penetrating the position detecting filter 63 to the position detection light receiving unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
