PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, reducing deteriorated toner in a developer. SOLUTION: A charger is adapted to apply electric charges to the middle part and a first end on the surface of an image support including the first end, the central part and a second end. A developing device includes: a developing roll having a developing part for carrying the developer to a developing area facing the middle part, a first non-developing part for carrying the developer to a first non-developing area facing the first end part, and a second non-developing part for carrying the developer to a second non-developing area facing the second end part; a first storing part adjacent to the developing roll for carrying the stored developer in a first direction along the axis of rotation to supply the developer to the developing roll; and a second storing part provided adjacent to the first storing part to carry the developer in a second direction reverse to the first direction.
