<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a volatile component in a measuring object without dissolving the measuring object into a solvent. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The measuring object is weighed, put into a sealed container, and heated up to a prescribed temperature to evaporate the volatile component, and a gas phase portion is measured by using gas chromatography, to thereby determine a peak area (Ax) of the volatile component. A vapor pressure (Px) is determined from the peak area (Ax) by using a first correlation showing a relation between the peak area (Ai) and a saturated vapor pressure (Pi), and then (Px/Ps) is calculated, and a content (Wx) of the volatile component is determined from the (Px/Ps) by using a second correlation amount curve showing a relation between the content rate (Wj) of the volatile component and (Pj/Ps).
