PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeding unit feeding recording material by separating them one by one. SOLUTION: This feeding unit 20 includes: a tray 21 housing a plurality of sheet-like recording materials 9 in a piled state; a first feed roller 31 arranged to be in contact with the lowest recording material 91 of the piled recording materials 90 at a position receiving the main weight of the recording materials 90 piled in the tray, to convey the lowest recording material 91 in the feeding direction X; a second feed roller 32 arranged to be in contact with the lowest recording material 91 on an end side of the piled recording materials 90 in the feeding direction X to convey the piled recording materials 91; and a separating wall 41, on which an end of the recording material 9 in the feeding direction abuts and which leads the lowest recording material 91 downward.
