PURPOSE: A producing method of benzene dicarboxylic acid is provided to purely maintain the yield and the purity of the benzene dicarboxylic acid, and to remarkably reduce the loss of saturated carboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of benzene dicarboxylic acid comprises a step of liquid phase oxidizing dimethyl benzene inside a mixed solution of water and saturated carboxylic acid, into oxygen-containing gas under the presence of a zirconium compound, a manganic compound, a cobalt compound, and a bromine compound. The mixed solution contains 7~50wt% of water. The saturated carboxylic acid includes linear saturated carboxylic acid with the carbon number of 1~6.
