PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve optical performance by securing the extending amount of a lens group in an optical axis direction without increasing the dimension in the optical axis direction and suppressing a variability of a position of the moving lens group. SOLUTION: A retracting lens holding frame holding a third lens group 3 includes a lens extension frame 22 which holds the third lens group 3 and is expanded and contracted and a sleeve frame 11 which holds the lens extension frame 22 so as to expand and contract it and is moved in the optical axis direction and in the inside and outside directions of an optical axis. A lever 26 rotatably provided in the sleeve frame 11 is engaged with the lens extension frame 22 and the lens extension frame 22 is relatively moved in the optical axis direction with respect to the sleeve frame 11 by the rotation of the lever 26. In the lever 26A, a cam follower 33 is provided to project in a direction perpendicular to the rotation plane of the lever 26 and a cam surface 34 is formed in a fixed frame 6. The cam follower 33 slides on the cam surface 34, according to the movement in the optical axis direction of the sleeve frame 11, to rotate the lever member 26. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
