<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing based upon resonance characteristics of an object to be measured. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sound characteristic correction device 130 includes: a sound model adaptive filter 311 having characteristics of suppressing a primary resonance peak of a frequency band including a primary resonance frequency having a primary resonance peak of frequency characteristics, representing sound characteristics of the external acoustic meatus of a user, and characteristics of suppressing a secondary resonance peak of a frequency band including a secondary resonance frequency being not an integral multiple of the primary resonance frequency and having a secondary resonance peak of the frequency characteristics; and a sound output mode processing unit 302 which performs filter processing, using the sound model adaptive filter 311, on a sound signal.
