PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the difference in the picture quality and the difference in the picture quality of printed images between a case where dots are formed while being overlapped, and a case where dots are formed without being overlapped. SOLUTION: This liquid discharging apparatus includes: a nozzle for discharging a liquid which is cured by the irradiation of an electromagnetic wave; an irradiation section which irradiates dots formed on a medium by the liquid discharged from the nozzle with the electromagnetic wave; and a controller which controls the discharge of the liquid from the nozzle, and at the same time, changes the irradiation amount of the electromagnetic wave irradiated by the irradiation section in response to the forming method of the dots.
