<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing yellowing which prevents fiber from yellowing and a yellowing inhibitor for preventing fiber from yellowing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for preventing yellowing includes coating fibers with at least one or more kinds of an aromatic glyceryl ether, phenoxyethanol and 4-methoxy phenol as a yellowing preventing component so as to prevent yellowing of the fibers.
