<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific polypeptide capable of inhibiting growth of hepatoma. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There is provided an agent for treatment of hepatoma and containing bombesin antagonist peptides or their pharmaceutically permissible acid or salt. Specific examples of the bombesin antagonist peptides are D-Phe-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-ψ-Tac-NH2, D-Phe-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-ψ-MTac-NH2, Ac-D-Phe-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-ψ-Tac-NH2, and D-Trp-Gln-Trp-Ala-Val-Gly-His-Leu-ψ-Tac-NH2.
