PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Artemisia asiatica extract and lotus root extract is provided to ensure efficiency of treating gastritis and gastric ulcer and antibacterial ability to Klebsiella pneumonia. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating gastritis contains Artemisia asiatica extract and lotus root extract as active ingredients. A food composition for preventing or treating gastritis contains the Artemisia asiatica extract and lotus root extract as active ingredient. An antibacterial composition against Klebsiella pneumoniae contains the Artemisia asiatica extract and lotus root extract as active ingredient. The Artemisia asiatica extract and lotus root extract are isolated using water, alcohol of 1-6 carbon atoms, or mixture thereof.
