PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting a clock in a semiconductor memory device are provided to stably transmit a clock to an internal unit by compensating the change of internal and external circumstances. CONSTITUTION: A clock generator generates a clock. The clock is transmitted to internal units of a semiconductor memory device. A driver(202) controls the transmission of the clock to the internal unit. A sensing unit(204) senses the temperature of the semiconductor memory device. The driver decides a transmission path of the clock. The driver transmits the clock to the internal units through the transmission path.
