<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an end part gasket of electrolyte resin by appropriately processing an electrolyte membrane selvage with a catalyst layer not formed, in a membrane electrode assembly made by continuously forming an electrode layer consisting of a catalyst layer and a diffusion layer on either side of a roll-shaped electrolyte film. <P>SOLUTION: In processing the electrolyte membrane selvage 1a, on which the catalyst layer 2 is not formed, in the membrane electrode assembly 5 made by continuously forming an electrode layer consisting of a catalyst layer 2 and a diffusion layer 3 on either side of a roll-shaped electrolyte membrane 1, paired folded blades 10a, 10b are inserted into the electrolyte membrane selvage 1a to carry out folding of the electrolyte membrane selvage 1a, a cutting blade 20 is inserted between the folded blades 10a, 10b to cut the electrolyte membrane selvage 1a, and at the same time, the folded electrolyte membrane selvage 1a is heated and melted to be processed as an end-part gasket 6 of the membrane electrode assembly 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
