<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit of high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit includes a lower frame having a bottom face; a side face erected upward from the bottom face; and a projection part projecting toward the outside of the side face; a light source stored in the lower frame; and an upper frame having a frame-like upper face; a side face standing downward from the upper face; and a hole on the side face to which the projection can be fastened, with the lower frame and the upper frame fastened and fixed by the projection part and the hole. The outline of the projection, in a side view from the protruding direction, includes a first edge opposing the upper edge of the side face of the lower frame, and the first edge is inclined in a direction toward one lower side corner of the side face of the lower frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
