Disclosed is an aqueous dispersion for treating fibers, which has excellent fiber sizing properties and can improve the adhesion between fibers and a matrix resin. Specifically disclosed is an aqueous dispersion for treating carbon fibers, which is characterized by comprising a specific first propylene resin (A), a specific second propylene resin (B), an anionic and/or nonionic surfactant (C) and water (D) at a specified content ratio, wherein solid resin materials respectively derived from the components (A) and (B) are dispersed in water, the weight average molecular weight (Mw (a)) of the component (A) and the weight average molecular weight ((Mw) (b)) of the component (B) are different from each other, the Mw (a) is larger than the Mw (b), and the average particle diameter of the solid resin materials is 0.03 to 3 µm.
