Provided is a production method wherein two reaction steps for producing a target compound (III) from a methoxycarbonyl compound via a methoxyamide compound are continuously carried out to thereby conduct these reactions substantially in a single step. According to this method, the compound (III), which is useful as an intermediate in producing a dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor, can be conveniently produced at a high yield.
