<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system and a wireless communication apparatus, capable of shortening time duration adjusting the beam direction to attain proper wireless transmission, even if wireless transmission is performed between devices installed indoors and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication system includes a first wireless communication apparatus and a second wireless communication apparatus. The first wireless communication apparatus includes a first antenna, a first evaluator, a first memory, and a first controller. The first antenna can control a beam to a plurality of directions. The first evaluator evaluates the line quality of wireless lines using wireless waves transmitted from the second wireless communication apparatus. The first memory stores a beam pattern information including information indicative of priority for a plurality of beam directions based on the line quality evaluated by the first evaluator. The first controller controls the first antenna, the first evaluator, and the first memory.
