PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew correction device and a recording device, capable of rotating a sheet sufficiently and correcting the skew of the sheet when correcting skew irrespective of kind of sheets. SOLUTION: This skew correction device 15 for correcting the position of sheet P in a process in which the tip of the sheet P to be conveyed in accordance with the turn of a conveyance roller 27 is abutted on a registration roller 29 or a driven roller 33 and is bent and deformed is provided with conveyance path forming members 36, 37 for guiding the sheet P to be conveyed on the conveyance roller 27 onto the registration roller 29 and the driven roller 33 from both of upward and downward directions. The conveyance path forming member 37 is provided with at least one spherical roller 45 facing a conveyance path 25 at least the center in the direction of width crossing the direction of conveyance of the sheet P. The spherical roller 45 is provided to protrude into the conveyance path 25 further when it is provided at the center in the direction of width than when it is provided on an end side in the direction of width.
