摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the ultrasonic impact treatment improving the fatigue characteristic under the environment of the cyclic load by efficiently introducing a large residual compressive stress to a residual tensile stress generated in a weld toe of a butt weld joint. SOLUTION: When forming a working band having the maximum depth of 20-300μm from a surface of a steel plate by performing the ultrasonic impact treatment on a material surface in the direction along a weld toe, the ultrasonic impact treatment is performed so that the position for the ultrasonic impact treatment is a part including no weld toe, and an end of the working band is located in the range of≥0.1 mm and≤7 mm from the weld toe.
