PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing absorbent articles having superior formability of recesses provided thereto by suppressing tear and cut of a surface sheet or the like when integrating the surface sheet with an absorber by embossing. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing absorbent articles includes steps for providing the absorber 8 having a pulp stacked body 6 with a surface sheet 12, and integrating the surface sheet with the absorber by embossing 13 to form the recesses. In this method of manufacturing the absorbent articles includes spraying water to the absorber before and/or after providing it with the surface sheet, and embossing the water-sprayed portion 9 from the surface sheet side to be conveyed towards the absorber.
