[PROBLEMS] To provide a process for decorating a vessel, which requires only a small number of steps for the production of the vessel, can realize a low vessel production cost, and is less likely to cause damage to the inner and outer surfaces of the vessel, and a mandrel, a drum, and a decorating apparatus for use in the process. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The process for decorating a vessel comprises the step of printing a substrate on the surface of a vessel held by holding means on a production line and the step of carrying out printing on the outer surface. In this process, the step of embossing is carried out on the production line. Preferably, the outer surface printing step and the embossing step are carried out simultaneously or continuously.
