PURPOSE: A superconducting wire and a method for bonding superconducting wires are provided to reduce the electric resistance of a bonding area of superconducting wires by using epitaxially-grown superconducting material. CONSTITUTION: Each of first and second superconducting wires(110,120) comprises a metal substrate, a superconducting layer, and a stable layer. The metal substrate has a tape shape. The superconducting layer is formed on the metal substrate. The stable layer is formed on the superconducting layer. An epitaxial growth layer(140) is formed between the first and second superconducting wires and includes the superconducting material. The epitaxial growth layer has the thickness of 10 to 40 nm.
