<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the worsening of a combustion or emission state resulting from the leakage of lubricating oil from turbochargers. <P>SOLUTION: In an engine system 10 which includes the main turbocharger including a turbine 210, a compressor 213, and a rotating shaft 214, and the sub turbocharger including a turbine 221, a compressor 222, and a rotating shaft 223, an ECU 100 executes oil scavenging control. At that time, the ECU 100 calculates and updates an oil reservation amount OL as the leakage amount of lubricating oil from the sub-turbocharger in a period for executing a single turbocharging mode utilizing only the main turbocharger. When the oil reservation amount OL exceeds a predetermined amount A, the ECU 100 finely opens an exhaust selector valve 230 for adjusting the supply amount of exhaust gas to a turbine 221 of the sub-turbocharger to make the turbine 221 into a driving condition.
