<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel suppressed in the deterioration of reliability caused by external pressure without decreasing a production yield, and to provide a liquid crystal display device having the panel. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel has pillar structures 45 and 56 which are arranged on opposing faces 40A, 50A of a pair of an array substrate 40 and a counter substrate 50, respectively, opposing each other through a liquid crystal layer 60 in addition to a spacer 46 determining the gap between the array substrate 40 and the counter substrate 50.
