<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting an exhaust pipe to a baffle plate, enabling to position the exhaust pipe relative to the baffle plate while securing connection strength between an opening portion of the baffle plate and the exhaust pipe even when there is a small clearance between the baffle plate to which the exhaust pipe is connected and another baffle plate opposed to the face of the baffle plate on the formation side of a burring portion, and to provide a structure for connecting the exhaust pipe to the baffle plate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A part of the front end of an inlet pipe 4 to be inserted into the opening portion 2a of the first baffle plate 2 is cut and raised outside to form three flare portions 41. The flare portions 41 are each welded and fixed to the opening edge of the opening portion 2a of the baffle plate 2 on the opposite side to the formation side of the burring portion 2c.
