PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling stop notification device capable of determining validity even in an area where a roadside machine is not installed. Ž
SOLUTION: In the stop notification device, a predicted stop time T is derived only from other vehicle information acquired through inter-vehicle communication and own vehicle condition information detected by an own vehicle. Specifically, a time Tmw required for starting movement is derived from a positional relationship of the own vehicle and the other vehicle (S4520), and an outgoing waiting time Taw is derived from an engine stop time of the other vehicle, a stop valid time of the other vehicle and present time (S4540). Then, the number (n-m) of vehicles on which the devices are not mounted between the own vehicle and the other vehicle is estimated (S4580), a start delay time is derived (S4590), and the sum of the times is calculated as the predicted stop time T (S4600). When the derived predicted stop time T is larger than an own vehicle stop valid time, a stop signal is output to an annunciator 50 (S4620). Ž
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
