PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch of few insertion losses. SOLUTION: The optical switch includes: a light input section having a single port 12; a light output section having a plurality of ports 22A, 22B and 22C; and a micromirror 30 for optically binding the port 12 of the light input section to the ports 22A, 22B and 22C of the light output section. The micromirror 30 has a reflecting surface 32 whose direction can be changed. The optical switch also includes a moving mechanism (moving object 42 and actuator 44) for moving the micromirror 30 to switch the port 12, 22A, 22B and 22C optically bound to one another via the micromirror 30, a plurality of detecting sections 50A, 50B and 50C for detecting the intensity of the light output from the light output section, and a control section 70 for controlling the direction of the reflecting surface 32 of the micromirror 30 based on the information obtained by the detecting sections 50A, 50B and 50C.
