PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device capable of reducing reactive power consumed when supplying data pulses to an address electrode. SOLUTION: The address electrode driving circuit has a first potential for selection, a second potential for non-selection and a third potential between the first potential and the second potential, as the potential of data pulses to be applied to the address electrode. When display data are changed, a data pulse on the address electrode corresponding to the display data has a sustaining period of sustaining the third potential for a fixed time upon transition between the first potential and the second potential. When the display data are not changed, the address electrode corresponding to the display data sustains the first potential or the second potential and produces the data pulses so that the rising period and the falling period of data pulses of adjacent address electrodes are shifted from each other.
